Last weekend I had the privilege of taking my wife and daughter on a day trip to the flower fields in Carlsbad. It was such an amazing experience, watching them both dance among the Giant Ranunculus. River, my one year old daughter, was clearly enamored by the rolling hills of yellows, purples, and reds. She ran ahead of us for most of the morning, only stopping to offer old asian ladies her water bottle (and on several occasions, her half eaten apple).
It's moments like these that fill my soul. Watching Dani blush with pride as she unpacks the picnic she made. Catching a glimpse of River scrunch her little nose to sniff a flower at least three feet away from her. Moments like these, when the sun is warm, and the air is cool. When love fills each breath in, and is shared with each breath out.
